Alumni Spotlights

The undergraduate Native American Studies (NAS) program provides foundations for a variety of career paths in and outside of tribal communities, or graduate study.

Graduate, undergraduate, and minor programs can be tailored for an emphasis in subject areas related to the environment, law, history, language, the arts, cultural revitalization and preservation, and other areas of interest. Native American and Indigenous Studies provides deep insight into the cultures and issues of contemporary Native American and Indigenous communities from a range of contexts and perspectives.

Our department features interdisciplinary coursework, opportunities for service learning, internships, fieldwork, research, and partnerships. Courses are now available with instructors across the UC system (via UC Online), giving students access to a wide range of expertise and unprecedented variety in mode and topics of instruction.
